Welcome Back Bombers!

RHS Family,

We are so excited to see our halls and classrooms filled with learning and laughter. School is just around the corner and I am sure you all are wondering what the plan is for the first few days of school. 

RHS has a new administrative team, who has worked hard during this summer to ensure your students experience an excellent school year.  With new leadership, there is always change.  We as a team have made some changes to help make sure our time is serving you all the best we can. 

First Week Schedule:

8/28 - Monday - Freshman Day - arrive between 7-8am. Freshman day is over at 12:30pm

• Welcome our freshman (7-8am)

• Familiarize themselves with the building

• Navigate the halls

• Meet their mentor

• Build relationships with staff and students

8/29 - Tuesday - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR ALL STUDENTS- 7-8am - 2:30*

• 7:00-8:00 am - Arrive campus open to socialize

• 7:30 -7:55 am - Zero Hour

• 8:00 - 8:25 - Students Report to their SEL teacher

• 8:30 - 9:30 - By Grade Level Session #1

• 9:30 - 10:30 - By Grade Level Session #2

• 10:35 - 2:30 - Visit Classrooms, Eat Lunch, Reflect on the day

*This unique first day schedule is to focus on building relationships, developing a positive school culture and climate, along with setting our expectations. 

8/30 - 8/31 - Regular school schedule - Release Time 2:30pm

9/1 - Friday Schedule - Release Time 1:30pm

Back to School Information:

Lastly, this year we will not be having a mini registration as less students each year participate on this day. Find the information listed below (and more!) by visiting richland.rsd.edu/school/back-to-school.

• Accessing Powerschool for student schedules once available

• Accessing Lunch Accounts/Applying for Free/Reduced Lunch

• Signing up for Parking Passes

• Purchasing ASB

• Family ID Registration

• Sports and Activity Fees

• Counseling Information

• Health Room Information - Health plans, Immunizations, etc.
