Helpful notes if you encounter issues

  1. If the family has used family ID for another registration program they may continue to use that account (they do not need to create a new account).
  2. Richland School District does not have access to assist with log-in or browser issues. If they have troubles logging into Family ID (User ID or Password not working, pages not launching, etc.) they need to contact Family ID directly at:  1-888-800-5583 | support@familyid.com. (This information is also at the top of the family ID webpage.)
  3. Once a family is logged in (see #2) we are able to assist with navigation if they have issues.
  4. If the direct link provided does not work for some reason, please see instructions below for manual navigation.
    • Go to Family ID: https://www.familyid.com/pages/home
    • Log in or create an account (see Family ID support info for log in issues)
    • Click on 'Find Programs'
    • Type in: Richland School District
    • Click the 'Find' button
    • Select RHS Chromebook Policy (Aug 2019-Aug 2020)
    • Begin Registration

Bus Passes

Students eligible for a bus pass may stop by the Transportation office at 710 Thayer Dr. The transportation office will begin issuing September bus passes on Monday, August 19th.  Students must bring Picture ID to sign for a bus pass.  BFT will be honoring the September pass for the few days we attend in August.  If a parent needs to arrange an alternate time to sign for their students bus pass they may call 967-6150 and schedule an appointment.

Parent Contact Information

If you have a change of address for your family or it changes during the year, please bring your most current utility bill to the office.  If you need to update any of your contact information, please come into the office.

Senior Pictures for the Columbian (Yearbook)

Senior pictures are due on Friday, November 1st by 3:00PM. Pictures can be emailed to Toree Markussen at toree.markussen@rsd.edu. The image needs to be at least 8X10, high resolution, VERTICAL, with no props.  Please include the first and last name of the student in the e-mail and subject box.  Senior (baby) and business advertisements are due on Monday, January 6, 2020.  Visit www.yearbookordercenter.com and use RHS school code 12064 to create and purchase online.

Contact Mrs. Markussen if you have any questions regarding pictures or advertisements.  Yearbooks can be purchased from the bookkeeper at a discounted price of $45.00 from August through October 1st. Prices will increase following that date. We sold out of yearbooks last year, so get yours early!

Counseling Office

We are excited to welcome you back to school.  We are also excited to introduce our newest counseling team member, Mitch Kochis!

It is important to note Counselor assignments have changed for most students.

Counseling assignments are as follows:

Student Last Name begins:

A - C & seniors in Running Start           Jill Falkner

D - H                                                      Wendi Hendricks

I - M & Class of 2022 AVID students   Chandra Markel

N - R & Class of 2021 AVID students   Denise Reddinger

S - Z                                                        Mitch Kochis

On August 20th, student schedules are viewable online in Power School or for pick up on mini-registration day.  All students need to have 6 Richland High School classes.  If you need to make a change to your 1st semester schedule, please sign up for an appointment on your assigned counselor’s clipboard during mini-registration (clipboards will be located at a table in the café).  After that, the clipboards will be in the office.  Counselors’ appointments fill quickly.  So, signing up sooner is better than later.  Schedule changes will be made for incorrect placement in classes, missing classes, or to fill an open period in your schedule.  Schedule changes WILL NOT be made for teacher requests, lunch changes, or class changes to be with friends.  (Second semester schedule changes begin in October.)

We look forward to a wonderful school year!
