State Champions! Celebrating Outstanding FFA Achievements.

We are incredibly proud of our Richland FFA students for an outstanding showing at the state level this spring.

Over spring break, the Bomber Veterinary Science Team (pictured at the top) competed at the Washington State Contest in Sumner and captured the State Title after an undefeated season. The team completed challenging case studies, hands‑on clinical and animal handling practicums, veterinary math, and a timed team presentation on Enrichment of Rodents in a Laboratory Setting. All team members placed in the Top 10 individually: Gwendolyn Ansingh (10th grade, 1st place), Mae Hawks (12th grade, 6th), Addison Stafford (11th grade, 9th), and Noemy Ramierez‑Torres (11th grade, 10th).

The Vet Science team has earned the opportunity to represent Richland FFA and Washington FFA at the National FFA Convention in October.

Richland’s first-ever Ag Tools & Materials Team (pictured below) recently competed in the Washington State Contest in Yakima, where the all first‑year FFA team earned the State Championship! Students competed in agricultural tool identification and knowledge of tool functions across multiple industries. Team members included Kyle Schultz (3rd place individual), Kailee Keller (4th), Logan Calhoun (7th), Karley DeWolf, and Lydia Rhoten—an exceptional achievement for these first‑year members.

Thank you to our students, advisors, families, and community for the hard work, commitment, and ongoing support that make opportunities and achievements like this possible.
