AtomicTV Earns Award for Sports Broadcasting

Richland High School’s AtomicTV program has earned a Student Production Award at the 2026 National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) Northwest Chapter Awards Show!

AtomicTV received top honors in the Live Sports Streaming Event/Game category for its coverage of the 2026 4A District 6 Boys Basketball Championship, showcasing the talent and professionalism of Richland students behind the cameras and microphones.

The award-winning production team included:

  • Michael Revell – Play-by-Play Announcer
  • Kennedy Tate – Analyst
  • Fletcher Owens – Camera Operator
  • Jack Hammond – Camera Operator

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Northwest Chapter recognizes outstanding work by high school and college students in television and visual storytelling across news, program, and craft categories. Student entries are judged by industry professionals, with high school winners automatically advancing to the National Student Production Awards competition.

This recognition highlights the dedication, creativity, and technical expertise of Richland High School students and the continued success of the AtomicTV program in providing authentic, hands-on media production experiences.
